"In the aftermath of the Greek depression, thousands of properties were abandoned, destroyed or left unfinished. Some of them can be found in important historical towns or popular tourist destinations that are thriving during the summer time but get deserted during the winter.

These properties have become progressively derelict over the last decade and are currently in poor conditions. They are the reminiscences of a economic boom that slowly led to impoverishment and loss of income and property."
